Study French this Summer: Bursaries are available for BC teachers
French Immersion in the Heart of Quebec City!
July 1-19, 2013
A residential program in a private college situated in the historic setting of les Plaines d'Abraham gives participants the opportunity to walk to la vieille ville while enjoying the magnificent view of the St. Lawrence River. This program is specifically designed for BC and Alberta teachers.
UBC offers this three-week immersion program for all teachers involved with French. The program is offered at all levels, from absolute beginner to advanced. Oral communication skills as well as an appreciation of Quebec's unique culture are developed. The program takes place during the Quebec Summer Festival.
Funding for BC and Alberta teachers is provided by the Department of Canadian Heritage of the Government of Canada. Bursaries for BC teachers are administered by the French Centre, UBC Continuing Studies, for the French Programs Unit of the BC Ministry of Education.
