Social, Emotional & Cognitive Learning Workshop - October 20th
Social, emotional, & cognitive learning is a powerful proactive initiative linked to the reduction of anxiety, depression, and substance abuse while increasing attendance, test scores, and prosocial behavior such as kindness, empathy, and personal awareness.
This workshop will:
· 1) Review the latest research-based methods for developing social, emotional and cognitive learning in the classroom.
· 2) Practice specific social, emotional and cognitive learning tools through hands-on, interactive activities.
· 3) Develop a plan of action for meeting the new BC curriculum SEL mandate in your classroom or school.
