Clever Apes #29: Nature and human nature
This radio podcast is part of the series, Clever Apes, which looks at themes of nature and human nature. This episode describes Menominee understandings of how relationships with the natural world support learning in early learning settings. It demonstrates how pedagogies of land drawn from Indigenous traditions of the Menominee people are quite different from Western-based approaches to learning about ecologies of place. It features the work of Indigenous scholar, Dr. Megan Bang, and a group of colleagues, who are exploring how Indigenous and non-Indigenous children learn about nature.
