Connect 2 Learning

Sep 14, 2020 jjamison

We know that when new teachers are supported and mentored into the profession, they are more successful and stay in the profession so much longer!

What kind of support are your new teachers receiving in these times? Even though you’re focused on health and safety protocols and procedures, it is also critical we support new teachers to provide the kind of instruction that will engage our learners and increase achievement. We can’t wait.

Powerful professional learning to support instruction and assessment – whether in face-to-face, online, blended, hybrid learning spaces –  is needed now more than ever.

We at connect2learning have ONE MISSION – to deliver powerful, practical, and flexible digital learning spaces and resources in support of quality instruction and assessment. We use the C2L Academy to accomplish this.

If you would like to access a short clip from the C2L Academy courses  – a strategy for online learning that you can use immediately – click here.

The C2L Academy – a digital learning space with a full selection of online courses – is being purchased for new teachers because it offers the customization that we all need right now. We have lots of topics to choose from, and they can be accessed at any time – as an online learning community 24/7, during the ten minutes available in a staff or department meeting, for a couple of hours at a PLC, and for a deliberate, year-long plan to mentor and support teachers.

Like you, even while our attention and time is pulled in many directions, we know we must intentionally make time and space for quality professional learning,

Here’s what people are saying about our digital learning spaces and their resources:

“After working through Connect2learning’s course, watching the video clips and reading the excerpts from books, teachers commented on how this experience changed the way they prepare to teach, the way they assess student learning and the way that students respond to the feedback given.” Rita Campitelli, Coordinator of Secondary Programs, York Catholic District School Board, Ontario, Canada

“Connect2learning creates meaningful, practical and relevant materials that support and inspire quality assessment practises.” Pam Quigg, Sessional Instructor, University of Victoria, BC

Working together, we can support each other and our students to grow and learn – even in these unprecedented times. Please forward this email to your support staff so they can review these courses for your NEW teachers.

 All our best wishes,

Anne and the connect2learning team
