SFU APPLIED SCIENCES OUTREACH & SCIENCE AL!VE VIRTUAL TEACHER RESOURCE & YOUTH PROGRAMS
Simon Fraser University’s (SFU) Faculty of Applied Sciences runs free online and in-person programs to encourage grades K-12 students’ interest in science and technology. We also run free teacher professional development workshops and create teacher resources (e.g., lesson slides, sample tests) such as our Computing Science Teaching Toolkit: https://www.sfu.ca/computing/cstt.html. We have developed a variety of online programs this year and we wanted to reach out to share them with students across BC to inspire interest in STEM. Below is information about our programs and resources. We would love it if you could share it with your students, community, and other teachers. The more the merrier! If you would like to hear more about our student and teacher programs throughout the year, we have a monthly newsletter that lists current and upcoming programs. Thank you so much!
